Update 2. VOLLEYBALL

I do not as of yet have any pictures of my volleyball team yet. I am coaching 8th grade and while I enjoy it, I didn't realize what all it would require. My season thus far in summary:

Team: 11 girls
Good players: 5
Decent players: 2
Benchwarmers: 4
Record: 0-5
Games that were close: None
Games we could have won: 2ish
Parents who have cussed me out: 2
Parents who have chewed me out: 1
Practice = Every night 4:45-6:15
Games = Two nights a week and Saturdays
Monetary compensation = not enough!

I really enjoy it, the girls, the games, and practice. I'm realizing what it means to deal with parents. It's horrible to be cussed out and have parents tell you that "they can tell what kind of person you are" because you didn't let their daughter play.....their daughter that can't get a serve over the net or pass a ball into the court consistently in 8th grade...their daughter that won't make the team in high school because she shouldn't have made the 8th grade team. It's hard to not let that stuff get to you. Even tough skinned me has a hard time shaking off middle aged adults cussing and getting right up in your face. BOO.
