Winter Weather

Lee and I both received the much anticipated early morning phone call this past week. We both had a snow day on Wednesday and my school also had two hour delays on Monday and Thursday. We were both battling being sick so having a day to rest midweek was nice. We also received phone calls tonight that there is already a two hour delay for tomorrow due to all of the ice and freezing rain we had today!

Saturday Lee and I decided to get out and enjoy the winter weather. We bundled up and went for a hike on the bike trails. While slippery in spots, we greatly enjoyed the serenity of nature.

We are definitely blessed to be have access to property that while in "town" allows us to enjoy hiking and being outdoors. Gives us a taste of country.

Saturday night we had Christmas #2 which was with Lee's stepdad's extended family. We spent most of our evening enjoying our nephews. I didn't snag any photos of Jarrett. He was off being a big boy and playing with the other kids in the gym....I did however snag quite a few adorable shots of Brayden. Is this kid stinking cute or what?? I know all of these pictures are similar but I just couldn't decide which one I liked best.
