Snow Trails

We spent so much time laughing and Wii Skiing that we decided that we needed to head out for some sort of cold weather activity while we were in Ohio. About 20 minutes from our house is a ski place and they had tubing runs that Lee and I had seen in years prior. So.... in a last minute decision we bundled up and headed for the "slopes" to make our Miis proud. Mom opted out as she is just now starting to feel better after some health issues.
This was some serious tubing. Lucky for us there is a conveyor belt that takes you to the top. We would ride it up, sled down, and repeat. The lift ticket was for 2 hours. One of the workers said that earlier in the day it had been so busy that people only got to go down the hill 4 times in their two hours. We didn't go until about 7pm and never had to wait to sled down. We probably went down 15+ times!
You can go down alone, you can link with another person, you can make a big train, you can go in a triangle shape or a square. We found after some experimenting that putting my dad at the back of a train as a "caboose" definitely propelled us down the hill with the most speed. Not only would we go down FAST we would be launched into the air at the dips. Probably the most comical part of the whole deal was that we would build up so much speed that we would not stop at the bottom but literally slid off the snow and out into a field. Yep we were going so fast that we would fly past the slow down zone and hit the grass! SO much fun. We laughed a lot!
