We took them to Cerulean for an amazing lunch. All the food is delicious but Miriam, Lee, and I were excited for sushi and edamame. We then attempted to take the boat and waverunner out on the lake. This was the maiden voyage for each this season. (for those of you who do not know...this is always a cross your fingers and hope it runs another year ordeal) We probably would have left the waverunner in the garage except my dad cannot swim and so it would have been the perfect water activity for him. Unfortunately the blasted thing would not run. So after over an hour of messing with it we finally gave up and just headed out on the boat. Great fun was had by all. My dad even went on a leisurely tube ride. Even leisurely rides require prayer and the holding of breath by all family members. I would never have the courage to get in a lake and be pulled by a boat if I could not swim! My dad is adventurous that is for sure.
Lee has been working SO much. He was pretty tired out and didn't do a whole lot out on the water. He spent most of his time driving the boat........Then we came in off the water, ate steak and rhubarb pie and then headed back out onto Winona Lake for the fireworks. It was an amazing show. First time for the Wagner clan to see fireworks from the water. It is definitely the way to go. The reflection of the colors on the water is just amazing. The best part of the weekend I think.
