Lee and I went with my sister to an amazing concert at the Music Mill in Indy to ring in the New Year. We saw Jon McLaughlin. He used to play at IWU back in the day and is now moving on up. He's amazingly talented at singing and playing the piano. We were super excited to get to do something different for New Years Eve this year. Upon arrival they had all kinds of free giveaway stuff: noise makers, hats, etc. We decked ourselves out and had arrived early enough to establish ourselves quite close to the stage. It was well worth it. As you will be able to see in the photos we were close....real close. At one point when our knees locked up, our feet fell asleep, and we thought we might topple over we realized that we had occupied the same space for close to five hours. But I mean you have to do what you have to do. We held our ground and made both friends and enemies around us. Here shots from the night:
So in case you are thinking....."Becca your camera must just have a really good zoom." Here is a shot from our exact perspective throughout the concert.
We were three mashed together rows of bodies from the stage. Pretty sweet huh? We had a blast. This guy if you haven't seen him is worth the ticket. He plays the piano the entire time and jumps around and never sits down. It's an awesome show. We have to give all the credit to Miriam who found the tickets. Probably my favorite New Years Eve E-V-E-R.
