Fall Party 2008

Fall Break began for me on Thursday. I spent it resting and preparing for our trip to Ohio. We arrived Friday afternoon. It was absolutely amazing fall weather outside and we spent our time in the back yard. Things started off a bit rocky when Toby "the train" Snider railroaded my mom from behind and knocked her to the ground. She was pretty banged up and had a sprained ankle. Luckily we were right on top of it and had it iced, wrapped, and propped within the hour of occurrance. Here Toby doesn't look too sad about what he'd done! Crippled the Fall Party 2008 hostess! Lee decided that he needed an outdoor project for the day and made a little brick entrance to my dad's woodshop...just for fun.
Later in the evening we took Toby and Edie (mom's dog) to a dog park. It was our first time and it was quite an adventure. You basically unleash your pooch into a pack of crazy slobbering dogs and they run around chasing one another while all the owners stand on and watch. Wish we had one around here! Toby had an amazing time just running around the yard and being with us without having to be tied up. Country livin' is the way to go. Saturday we got ready for everyone to come to Fall Party '08. Sadly Miriam was so sick she could not make the trip. Major bummer. But we understood because we all know how it feels when you are on too much cold medicine, your head still feels like it's going to explode, and then to have to drive 4 hours alone.....NO WAY. The day was filled with Wagner chili, a campfire, the cornhole tournament, smores, sugar cookies, and lots of other goodies. We had a blast with the Ballmers...and partied hard.

Here is a shot of Dance (my cousin's daughter) with a table that my dad made for her for her birthday! She was pretty stinkin' cute running around and gave us quite a few good laughs. So good to be home with family....4 hours is just too far away.

there are two dog parks around here. One is by Concord schools. You have to pay for a year and you get your own key.

Just to let you know.
