Hanging out with the grandparents...

Lee and I are really lucky and once a year get a chance to hang out with Grandpa and Grandma Snider and their best friends Francis and Mary Lou. There has yet to be a year that has disappointed us. We sit and laugh as we listen to the foursome interact. They are all a riot in their own ways. It's such a blessing to see Lee's grandparents in an environment outside of the family. They are much more rowdy, humorous, and mischievous than they would lead you to believe at family gatherings. We would have never had the opportunity to know this side of them had this tradition not begun. The day started off with an attempted pontoon boat ride but it was far to cold to enjoy.

We cut the boat ride short, played a few games of a Sorry/Aggravation type game using marbles, went out for dinner, and played more games while we chatted. So much fun. It really is a great reminder that you can be "old" and still laugh a lot, be funny, and truly enjoy letting loose with your spouse and good friends.
