Weekend Event Pt 2

The Extraction of the Stumps

When we first moved into our little house there were these gigantic bushes that consumed a large portion of our front yard. They had been left unattended for far too many years. We got permission from our landlady to remove them last summer. We cut them down then but never actually got around to removing the stumps. And so this Saturday was the day Lee had been waiting for. We called in our good friend Chad to help in the exciting event. Now for many men... stump removal would seem a chore, but for Lee this is a chance to get out of his dress shirt and tie and do something "manly". So the guys put on their deer skin work gloves (thanks dad!), got out the axes, the chain, the pickaxe, the shovels, and set to work.
Chad was the first to remove a stump. He basically ripped his right out of the ground.

Does he look like a semi-pro football player? Because he is one.

Lee could have just yanked his out of the ground.......but he wanted the Jeep to be involved. So they chained the stump to the Jeep and pulled.

Tires were spinning, the chain was tight, and the next thing you know the stump was out of the ground!

Three stumps, two men, one Jeep. No problem.
